Welcome to Nourish Cooking Co.
Holly Schefold, a trained Montessori teacher, founded Nourish Cooking Company to reconnect children and families with real food. Through hands-on, farm-to-table cooking classes, she teaches how food grows, how to cook from scratch, and why whole ingredients matter. Holly’s passion is helping kids gain confidence in the kitchen, build lifelong skills, and discover the joy of nourishing themselves and others. Her work empowers families to reclaim the wisdom of the past—one meal at a time.
Our classes include…
Farm To Table Learning
Children discover how food grows through seasonal produce, hands-on exploration, and connections to local farms. This experience helps them understand ingredients at their source and cultivates a deeper appreciation for real, whole foods.
From Scratch Cooking Skills
Kids learn the foundations of cooking using simple, whole ingredients — no seed oils, food dyes, or excess sugar. They gain practical skills, confidence, and an understanding of how nourishing meals are made from start to finish.
Montessori-Inspired
Our classes encourage independence through child-friendly tools, thoughtful prep stations, and step-by-step guidance. Kids learn to take the lead, make decisions, and build confidence in the kitchen in a supportive, self-directed environment.
Kid Friendly
With years of experience teaching kids, we understand their rhythms, abilities, and curiosity. Our classes are paced for real learning, structured for success, and filled with joyful moments that help every child feel capable, confident, and excited to cook.
Hands-On Food Science
We teach the “why” behind cooking: how dough rises, why flavours develop, and how different methods transform ingredients. Kids build true kitchen literacy that empowers them beyond recipes.
Community Focused
Classes are designed to build connection — with food, with nature, and with each other. Children work together, share meals, and feel part of a welcoming community where real food and curiosity are celebrated.

It encouraged an independence in the kitchen and now he makes the whole family food and ENJOYS doing it. We look forward to taking part in this new platform!”

“Nourish Cooking Co’s baking and cooking classes are wonderful, our family has been signing up for years. Holly is great at explaining things for all ages and levels of knowledge, she keeps it light and fun and makes sure all participants are having a good time in support of their love of food. Holly is one of our favourite people in general, she is simply a kind human being with a ton of cooking and teaching/interpersonal skills.”
